My Reflection

I was learning to share some foood from my country.

I liked the fact that most of the students actually participated in bringing food to the lunch insteade of just bringing nothing and still eating other peoples food. I brougt French Toast for my lunch because my nan and I used to make it when I was little and we still do.

My Speech

DOLPHINS AND WHALES ARE DYING

Hi my name is Jasmine and i’m here to tell you about Whaling and the Dolphin drive hunt. Did you know that Japan, Norway and Iceland kill over 2000 Whales between them each year? and thats a lot of our whale population, isn’t it. Once it became obvious that the numbers of Whales being killed were putting our whale populations under threat, so many people kept on killing the Dolphins and Whales that people aren't certain if the whale population will survive large scale hunting as well as the other daily threats that they have to face, despite the bans on Whaling and the trade in Whale products. A ban on Whaling [hunting for your own profits] was introduced in1986 by the body that regulates Whaling-The International Whaling Commission.Even though the ban was set, loopholes allowed some countries to keep on killing our marine life, so over 30,000 Dolphins and Whales are still being killed. A thing called Dolphin drive hunting is a method ofhunting Dolphins and occasionally other small Marine life by driving them together and into a small bay or Beach.And what's worse is that they prevent the Dolphins from escaping by closing off the open routes to the sea usually with boats or nets.Dolphins are hunted this way in several places around the world including the Solomon Islands , Peru and Japan. By numbers Dolphins and Whales are mostly hunted for their meat . And some end up in Dolphinariums. Many dolphins die because of this and it has to stop NOW!!!but together we can stop this killing and bring peace to the marine life. We'll looks like I'm out of time, Goodbye and remember that Dolphins and Whales are still dying.



REFLECTION
I was learning to write a speech,
I think that it was tricky because I didn't have a computer so it made it hard for me to get information about my speech. I liked that my speech had lots of information about whaling and about what happens to Dolphins , so i'm really happy that I get to tell the world about what happens to these defenseless creatures.Next time I need to work on getting more info and then people might stop killing the Dolphins and Whales.

Story Opening - Ruby Rodgers

Reflection

I was learning to write a story opening on Ruby Rodgers. I found writing Punctuation hard because I didn't know where  everything goes[except for the ? and !]. I found writing the story easy because all I had to do was imagine something then write it up. Next time I will try working more on the punctuation and less on the writing.

MY REFLECTION

This is my Certificate for Bike Skills. I am proud of this and I think that I did a  really good job. I learnt to mount and stuff like that and thats how I got my Certificate.Next time I will 

focus on more scooting in the future.

Camp M.E.R.C Persuasive Presentation

My Reflection

I was learning to write a persuasive poster about Camp M.E.R.C. I used a rhetorical question, sub headings, lots of pictures, good describing words and adjectives, bossy verbs, enough detail to sell Camp M.E.R.C and bold eye catching words and Letters. I am proud of my work and I think that iv'e done well. I think that  I need to work on trying not to put too mush detail into my writing.

MY REFLECTION.

I was learning ride a bike.I learnt how to do - Scoot and mount and 

I also learnt how to check the ABC's , A-air preacher,B-breaks,C-chain.

I found scooting really difficult because I didn't know how to lean all of my body weight on the 

side that I was leaning on.Next time I will fry focus more on the scooting and 

try not to fall off the bike.

My Reflection

I was learning to use what I already know.First I had to fill in the blank spaces with what I thought the word meant then I had to look it up in the dictionary and find out what it really meant.I found finding out what the words meant difficult because I didn't know what to look for.Next time I will focus on looking for the right words and to use what I already know more.

Next time I will focus on getting faster and speedy.

My goal is to Get 100 by the end of this year.

Term 2 Week 9 Reflection

On my graph I have been increasing and de-creasing in my
learning. On my last BF test I went down and de-creased by 6%
but I think that the next time I have a BF test that I will increase and not de-crease.
I think that I need to work on my Subtraction and Multiplication and then maybe I will get better.

Term 3 Reflection and T4 Goal

For my maths learning I have still been in-creasing and de-creasing so I think that I could try learning my times tables at home and in the morning at school for about 10-15 minutes every day to help with my learning. My goal for term 4 would have to be for me to get more than 80% by the end of the term.

                  I have been learning to understand fractions by learning all kinds of them.

I have found it tricky to learn mixed fractions and to understand the large from the small fractions.

I used materials to help me learn how to find out how to use my mixed fractions.

Next time I would like to practice on my comparing fractions work.

My Reflection

I was learning to use different paint skills to paint a picture of Rangitoto. I found it tricky to do stipple because I had to go over and over again with different colours. I also found it hard to cut out my Rangitoto. I am proud of my art work because it turned out better than I thought.

CAMP M.E.R.C. ABSEILING

At Camp M.E.R.C. we went abseiling and this is just a picture of me going abseiling it was awesome. I was learning to do abseiling. I found it very easy because all I had to do was hold on to a knot and a rope. Next time I will try doing it blindfolded just to make it a little tricky.

I was learning to write a Kennings poem. I found this easy because all I had to do was type my poem up on a google document. Then type it on my blog. Next time I will use a thesaurus to find new words.
